Life can feel like we are just moving from one thing we have to do to the next thing we have to do. Instead of moving forward, its east to feel like we are standing still. Weren’t we made for more than this?
The reality is Jesus spent most of his life doing ordinary things. He was an ordinary kid. He did chores. He Listened to his parents. When he got older, he worked an ordinary job. Why? Why did he spend the first thirty years of his life doing ordinary stuff? Why would God come is such a way that, for most of his life, he went unnoticed? Was he just standing still, or was he teaching us something about the extraordinary life he is calling us too?
The Extraordinary Life can be presented as a single talk, or as a three day parish mission
